On Friday, May 4, 2007 at 10:30 p.m. Powell River RCMPolice investigated a complaint of an impaired driver leaving Powell River General Hospital. Police attended the location and observed four intoxicated persons causing a disturbance in the parking lot area. Two females fled the scene on foot while two males were arrested by police. The two females were located on Joyce Avenue and also arrested. All four subjects were lodged in cells overnight.

Early Saturday morning, May 5, 2007 at 1:15 a.m. Powell River RCMPolice responded to a complaint of an assault that took place outside the Westview Pub at 4463 Marine Avenue. A 21 year old male reported being punched and kicked by a 22 year old male. The investigation led police to believe both were equally involved in the fight. Alcohol was involved and no charges will be laid.

On Saturday afternoon, May 5, 2007 at 3:30 p.m. Powell River RCMPolice, Fire and Rescue and paramedics responded to a pedestrian motor vehicle incident on Alberni Street at Joyce Avenue. A 14 year old male pedestrian and witnesses stated that he ran onto the street to cross the roadway and while looking the other way ran into the side of a moving vehicle. The male received minor abrasive injuries.
